Coaching/video analysis is perfect for a beginner, intermediate, and advanced surfers looking to bring their surfing skills to the next level. Observing technique and receiving feedback is vital in surfing for identifying and correcting issues. So video analysis has many practical applications and is continually used to measure and correct techniques.

Our video analysis is especially useful for surfers catching unbroken waves but need help to consistently make take-offs and perform basic maneuvers on the wave face. Therefore, video analysis is a must if you are serious about improving your surfing.

All surfers must be confident paddling back on small to medium-sized waves and positioning themselves in the proper spot to catch the waves. In addition, the number of waves caught is the surfer’s responsability. We offer two types of video analysis, based on your preference:

  • Your coach will give you tips on the beach before you enter the water, but they will not be surfing with you.
  • You coach can be with you in the water to give you tips and make sure you catch waves

We offer video analysis at the following local surf breaks: Playa Jaco, Playa Hermosa, and Esterillos.

What could be included:

  • 2 sessions, morning and afternoon, of 2 hours duration each transport to the best local beaches in the day session. Can also do one session of 2 hours morning or afternoon if preferred, we will look at the tide and help you decide which time is better, morning versus afternoon
  • Classroom analysis of the video footage with a coach
  • Transfer of video footage to your laptop/USB

Prices for one session (2 hours) without a coach in the water:

  • One surfer – $80
  • Two surfers – $60/person
  • Three surfers – $55/person
  • Four surfers – $50/person

Prices for one session (2 hours) with a coach in the water:

  • One surfer – $100
  • Two surfers – $80/person
  • Three surfers – $70/person
  • Four surfers – $65/person

Prices for two session (2 hours each) without a coach in the water:

  • One surfer – $150
  • Two surfers – $120/person
  • Three surfers – $100/person
  • Four surfers – $90/person

Prices for two session (2 hours each) with a coach in the water:

  • One surfer – $200
  • Two surfers – $160/person
  • Three surfers – $140/person
  • Four surfers – $130/person
Note: Lesson times are flexible and may be subject to change based on the continuously changing tide and wave conditions. Once you have scheduled a lesson, we will review your preferred time slot and contact you by email to suggest the best available time closest to your preferred time, to ensure the best possible experience. Payment details will be provided once we have confirmed the lesson with you via email.
 
In the event of last-minute weather changes that make the lesson impossible, we offer rescheduling to a different time or day.
